Travel Day – Let the Fun Begin!

Flying out of San Francisco, we planned to be at the gate an hour early—and good thing we did, because we needed every minute! Though we booked through American Airlines, our flight was operated by Alaska Airlines, which can be confusing. Just a tip: your alternate airline info is usually included in your original confirmation, so double-check before you go.

We made it with just enough time to grab a coffee and hustle onto the plane—but not before bumping into our besties, Holly and James! Total surprise meet-up!

The flight was smooth and quick—only about 2.5 hours. Customs was a breeze thanks to their new automated system. Super easy!

And guess what? Holly and James popped up again, this time with our Mermaid, Angela and her friend Jess. More hugs, a quick selfie, and off we went!

We met up with our son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Brandy, at the bar (priorities!), and shortly after, found our awesome driver, Oscar, ready and waiting. Ice-cold drinks in hand, good vibes all around—and Oscar even promised more treats to come.
